FishInn is the largest online angling store in the Netherlands. From a spectacular store of over 1,000 m² in Venlo, with specialized departments for carp, predator, whitefish, catfish, and trout fishing, as well as a webshop with more than 25,000 items, FishInn serves anglers throughout the Netherlands and the Benelux. The team consists entirely of fanatical anglers themselves, which translates into knowledge, passion, and a level of service that customers consistently appreciate. FishInn invested in e-commerce early on: in 2010, it acquired the leading webshop Roven.nl and built an online platform on that basis that has been continuously developed ever since. This ambition also led FishInn to be the very first Younify client to migrate to the Hyvä theme, a first in the Dutch Magento world.

FishInn has always looked ahead when it comes to technology and e-commerce. As one of the first angling stores with a serious online focus, a pioneer with real-time inventory management, and a leader in user experience within the industry, it was logical that FishInn wanted to be the first to make the switch to Hyvä. That requires courage: Hyvä was still new territory then, there were few precedents, and the risks of a full frontend rebuild on a platform with 25,000+ products and an active customer base are real. Furthermore, a webshop of this size, with complex categorization per fish species, real-time stock indications, and omnichannel functionality, must be continuously monitored, maintained, and improved after going live.
Younify migrated FishInn as its very first client to the Hyvä theme, thereby not only renewing a webshop but also building valuable knowledge and experience that has since formed the basis for all Hyvä projects in Younify’s portfolio. Following the successful launch, Younify provides ongoing support and maintenance for the platform, acting as a steady partner that knows the ins and outs of the environment as well as FishInn itself.
The migration of FishInn to Hyvä was the first of its kind for Younify. In close consultation with the FishInn team, the entire frontend was rebuilt, focusing on speed, stability, and a user experience that meets the specific needs of the angler: finding the right products quickly by fish species, direct visibility of stock, and a smooth ordering flow.
The switch to Hyvä brought a drastic improvement in loading times and Core Web Vitals scores. FishInn now offers its customers a webshop that responds as quickly as the fish they are trying to catch.
An assortment of 25,000+ items, categorized by fish species, type, and brand, requires a robust category and filter structure. The Hyvä implementation is designed for navigation that guides even the seasoned specialist to the right product at lightning speed.
After the launch, Younify provides full ongoing support: Magento updates, security patches, extension maintenance, and rapid response to issues. The team knows the FishInn environment like no other, and it shows in the speed and quality with which matters are handled.
FishInn proved that courage pays off. As Younify’s first Hyvä client, it received a platform that is technically leading in the angling industry, and the long-term support relationship ensures it stays that way.
