Buying prescription glasses online sounds simple, but it is one of the most complex e-commerce challenges there is. The customer must have confidence in the process, understand their prescription, choose the right lenses, and find the right frame. Every step that is unclear costs a conversion. The Wink & See platform had to completely remove that complexity.
Younify built the Wink & See webshop on Magento 2 with the Hyvä theme, with the product configurator as the heart of the experience. Every element of the UX was designed based on one question: what does a customer need to order prescription glasses online with confidence?
The entire frontend was built with Hyvä for maximum speed and a fluid mobile experience. A slow configuration process is a direct conversion problem; that risk has been completely eliminated.
An intuitive step-by-step configurator guides the customer through frame, lens type (single vision, progressive, reading glasses), coating (anti-reflective, blue light, tinted), and strength, with real-time price updates and visual confirmation for every choice.
A clear instruction page explains how to read a prescription, combined with smart input validation that prevents errors before they become problems. This lowers the barrier and the return rate.
Every touchpoint in the customer journey has been reinforced with trust elements: customer reviews (eKomi 4.6), clear return guarantee, free adjustment service, and transparent delivery times, visible at the right moments.
The platform is set up to be fully multilingual with separate store views for the Netherlands and Belgium, including local shipping options, prices, and content, without technical overhead.
An SEO structure focused on the optics market: from landing pages for ‘buying prescription glasses’ to informative content about progressive lenses and reading prescriptions, with organic traffic as a growth engine.
